2014 Songs on the Lawn Band Lineup Announced
(May 2, 2014) MANKATO, MINN. - Greater Mankato Growth presents the 11th annual Songs on the Lawn – the popular summer commencement featuring music, entertainment and local food. Songs on the Lawn is presented by Xcel Energy and takes place every Thursday in June from 11 am to 1 pm at the Civic Center plaza in front of Mankato’s Intergovernmental Center. Admission and parking available by the Civic Center and in the Cherry Street ramps are free of charge.
This year’s musical lineup includes:
June 5 – String Theory
June 12 – Ben Marti Trio
June 19 – Organic Cowboys
June 26 – The Last Revel
Songs on the Lawn is a community event for co-workers, families and friends to gather at the Civic Center plaza to enjoy sun, entertainment, activities and food. Attendees may purchase lunch and snacks sold by a variety of local vendors including: Angie’s Popcorn, Buffalo Wild Wings, Culver’s Frozen Custard, Dino’s Gourmet Pizzeria, Hy-Vee, Neighbor’s Italian Bistro, Number 4 American Bar & Kitchen, Olives, Pub 500, Sodexo, Tavern on the Avenue and The Loose Moose Saloon & Conference Center.
