Align your business with Greater Mankato Growth through our marketing opportunities and position your business to engage with close to 1,000 businesses and thousands of people in the Greater Mankato region. Whether an ad in eNews or a top-level sponsorship, we offer a variety of opportunities that fit all types and sizes of businesses.

Your investment not only helps to advance your business, but also supports our many facets of work, from hosting high-profile events to connecting businesses with critical resources and information, and more.

Submit your online agreement prior to November 1, 2021 to have the best chance of getting your desired 2022 marketing opportunities. Drawing will be held for opportunities where demand exceeds supply. Once you've signed up, you will receive an email confirmation or be entered into a drawing.

After November 1, 2021, any remaining marketing opportunities will be available on a first come, first served basis. Greater Mankato Growth will keep an updated list of available options throughout the year.

Advertising & Promotions

All Greater Mankato Growth members are eligible to sign up for the following advertising opportunities, unless otherwise noted. 

 

Greater Mankato Growth Member eNews Advertising

Promote your business and special offers in the Member-2-Member section of Greater Mankato Growth eNews, emailed every Tuesday to approximately 2,200 business representatives. Our eNews average open rate is 35%, which is higher than the industry standard.

eNews Ad Cost: $85 per week
(5 available per week)

  • One image (700 wide x 300 tall pixels @ 72 DPI; JPG/PNG)
  • Maximum of five (5) ads per issue

Our Greater Mankato Growth Online Business Directory is featured throughout our website. Business News

Greater Mankato Growth membership includes the opportunity for members to share their business news on the Member News page at no extra cost. By sharing business news stories, we lift up the visibility and awareness of a diverse scope of sectors and inform the public of the successes and advancements in our region.

All submissions are reviewed by Greater Mankato Growth. Business news may include, but aren't limited to press releases, company-wide news, and employee recognition (such as new hire, promotion, individual employee recognition, awards, and certificates). You may include one image with your news item.

Once submitted, members cannot make any edits and must request them from the Greater Mankato Growth's Marketing Department via email.

Business Focus

Share your story in a video format and put it in front of thousands of followers by signing up for the Greater Mankato Business Focus campaign available to Greater Mankato Growth members for a nominal fee. There are only 12 opportunities available every year, one each month. Business Focus videos are typically pushed live on the 1st of the month.

Business Focus includes a 60 - 90 second video focused on your business featured on Greater Mankato Growth website (650 views per day), eNews (35% open rate), and social media (over 12,000 followers across platforms), sharing your message with business leaders, employees, member businesses, residents of the Greater Mankato area, and beyond. Videos will feature your business logo and may include up two business representatives on camera discussing your business and industry, promoting current or upcoming events, and more. Greater Mankato Growth staff will assist in the creation of the video, typically recorded at your business site (15-mile radius from Mankato) on the third Thursday of the month. Video production takes 2 - 3 business days.

Topic ideas: company/organization history, the X-factor of your business/your why, important projects, recent accolades, company future, sharing your expertise, educating our area residents, impact of Greater Mankato Growth membership on your business.

Add-On Enhancements:

As you receive this benefit at such a nominal cost, Greater Mankato Growth, Inc. reserves the full property ownership of each video. It is up to the discretion of Greater Mankato Growth, Inc. and the contracted videographer to reshoot a video, if deemed necessary.

Member milestone celebrations are shared on Greater Mankato Growth social media and in Minnesota Valley Business Magazine.

Greater Mankato Cavaliers are a commitee of Greater Mankato Growth volunteers that bring value to membership by providing activities that encourage member involvement, celebrations, networking, and retention. Business After Hours

Business After Hours (BAH), hosted every first Tuesday of the month from 4 to 6 pm, is an event that provides an informal atmosphere for all Greater Mankato Growth members and their employees to meet and network. Projected monthly attendance is 175. Businesses registered to host in 2021 have first right of refusal in 2021.

Songs on the Lawn

Get your business noticed at Songs on the Lawn, a family-friendly music series featuring area bands and vendors that draws hundreds to our City Center each Thursday in June from 11 am to 1 pm. All businesses are eligible for any Visit Mankato and/or City Center Partnership Event or Program. Greater Mankato Growth members will receive priority preference as well as receive a discount where noted.

Mankato Marathon

The Mankato Marathon tradition started in 2010 with an amazing 2,200 runners. The ten year anniversary was celebrated with 4,100 runners and more than 8.000 spectators. The event continues to continue to evolve as a Bold Race, Exceptional Place. In 2019, the runners represented 13 states with 78% residing in Minnesota, 61% women and 39% men, and the average age between 30 and 49 years. The Mankato Marathon, a Visit Mankato event, is held in October.

There are sponsorship opportunities, Expo booth options, and numerous volunteer opportunities for the wekeend. The ranges below represent several a la carte options within each level. Runner Bibs (All Races) Sponsorship: $5,500

  • Business logo on bibs for all races
  • Business logo on event signage (finish line, Expo, and more)

Post Party Sponsorship: $2,500  

The post party is held on the 500 block of Front Street on Saturday morning and includes live music. Estimated attendance in 2019 was more than 5,000 people. The event includes live music, games, awards presented on stage, and one free beer for runners.

The exclusive sponsor of the Mankato Marathon water and nutrition stops includes the following benefits:

The PR Bell will be at both the Friday and Saturday races in the runners corals for pictures as runners finish the race with their personal best times.

This sponsorship must provide provide two exclusive pace cars and sag vehicle with company logo for Saturday races.

CityArt Walking Sculpture Tour

The CityArt Walking Sculpture Tour, a program of the City Center Partnership and Twin Rivers Council for the Arts, provides a professional sculpture exhibit year round in the City Centers of Mankato and North Mankato. The exhibit features all styles, types, materials, and sizes of sculptures from a broad range of local, regional, national, and international artists. CityArt obtains sculptures on loan from artists each year, paying them with a stipend with incentives, including the People's Choice Award.

Alive After 5

Alive After 5 is a free summer concert series hosted by City Center Partnership and offering outdoor music, food, beverages, and artisan market to welcome families, employees, and residents into the heart of City Center Mankato. This four-night event takes place on Thursdays in August from 5 to 7:30 pm and is an after-work, family-friendly social gathering that attracts thousands of attendees every year with its bold music selections. This event provides sponsors the opportunity to engage with a diverse group of individuals in the City Center.
