Rigid Styrofoam™ Recycling Event

Here’s your opportunity to get rid of that Styrofoam™ you’ve been collecting, hoping it wasn’t destined for the landfill! All of the material collected with be taken to Hutchinson, where it will be made into a variety of objects. We’ll also have volunteers on hand to provide information about other waste-reducation activities.

Here’s what will be accepted:
• Clean packaging from televisions, computers, appliances, furniture
• Foam coolers
• Medication boxes (coolers)
• Uncoated white insulation sheets
• Packing peanuts if securely bagged

Not accepted:
• Plates, cups, take-out boxes, meat trays
• Colored Styrofoam™
• Packaging with dirt, tape or labels
