Celebrate Manufacturers Week, Attend the Tour of Manufacturing
Mankato, MINN (October 21, 2014) – The Economic Growth Collaborative of South Central Minnesota invites community members to attend the 2014 Tour of Manufacturing on Thursday, October 23 from 12 – 6 pm. The event is similar to a parade of homes that is free to students, job seekers and the general public. Community members will be able to stop by throughout the day for a self-guided or guided tour of any of the participating manufacturers.
The participating businesses include: Avery Weigh-Tronix, Carlson Craft, Coloplast Manufacturing, Dotson Foundry, Jones Metal Products, Kahler Automation Corp, Minnesota State University, Mankato College of Science, Engineering & Technology, South Central College, SpecSys, Inc., V-TEK, Inc, Wells Concrete and Windings.
The Tour of Manufacturing is an opportunity to learn first-hand about manufacturing businesses within your community, future employment outlook and current trends.
A full-color magazine of all participating manufacturers, including a map of where each participant is located, was distributed within area newspapers. The annual event is organized by the Economic Growth Collaborative of South Central Minnesota and sponsored by Eide Bailly and South Central College.
