City Center Partnership Launches Bonus Gift Card Program

MANKATO, MN (December 9, 2020) — The City Center Partnership is introducing a new Bonus Gift Card Program in an effort to provide additional relief efforts for City Center businesses. The organization has worked on several fronts throughout the year in response to the pandemic and its effects on the local economy. Their Let It Glow, Kato! window display contest is going through the end of the year in an effort to drive customers new and old to the City Center. In that spirit, their newest program was designed in direct response to feedback from business owners who are saying the best and fastest way to support them through these challenging times is to purchase gift cards. For a limited time, the City Center Partnership will offer free $20 gift cards with proof of purchase of a minimum of $50 in food, merchandise and/or gift cards from a participating City Center business.

“When the concept of this matching gift card program was brought to the City Center Partnership Board, it was met with immediate enthusiasm,” said Bryan Sowers, City Center Partnership Board Chair. “It is a clear way to leverage organizational dollars at a unique time to inspire and incent direct spending in our City Center businesses while drawing traffic in the spirit of Let It Glow.”

The City Center Partnership is committed to enhancing City Center businesses and livability assets as an important cultural and business hub within Mankato and North Mankato. Their mission to foster investments in the City Center has never been so important. The goal for the Bonus Gift Card Program is to provide an incentive for the community to support the businesses that make our community special. Supporting these businesses is equivalent to supporting friends, neighbors and loved ones.

These funds were made available as a result of planned investments that are unable to happen due to the pandemic. The funds are limited for this program and therefore Bonus Gift Cards are offered on a first come, first served basis until funds are exhausted.

Customers can go to the City Center Partnership’s website at citycentermankato.com/bonuscards to fill out an online form showing their proof of purchase and order their free $20 gift card(s).
