MANKATO, MN — El Underworld Exhibit opens Thursday, May 1 from 5–9 p.m. at Mecca Tattoo and the Carnegie Art Center. This collaborative show features tattooers and visual artists exploring themes of transformation, duality, and rebirth.

Opening night includes live music, food by TNT Eats, free May Day baskets for kids, face painting by KM Catered Creations, and interactive installations like the May Pole by Mankato Makerspace and the Charm Bar mobile booth.

The event is family-friendly and free to attend. Artwork sales support Midwest Art Catalyst, a nonprofit supporting local artists and creative programs.
