Greater Mankato Growth Announces Free Energy Forum

Mankato, MINN (December 10, 2018) – Greater Mankato Growth will host a free luncheon forum, “What Minnesota Can Learn from Germany on Energy Policy” on December 14 in Heritage Hall at South Central College's North Mankato Campus. Lunch will be served at 11:30 am with the program running from 12:00 – 1:00 pm.

Over the past several years, legislative leaders from across the regionincluding Senators Rosen, Frentz, and Senjemhave connected with business leaders, farmers, and city leaders in Germany to learn how the transition to renewable energy produces a clean energy future and new economic opportunities.

They would like to share how what they learned in Germany may help businesses and communities in Southern Minnesota grow. They will be joined by Germany's renewable energy point person in the US, Mr. Jens Acker.  Mr. Acker is chief counselor for renewable energy and trade at Germany's Embassy in Washington, D.C.
