Greater Mankato Growth Holds 27th Annual Leadership Institute
MANKATO, Minn. (September 19, 2012) – For the past 26 years, the Greater Mankato Leadership Institute has provided our community’s emerging leaders with comprehensive training focused on developing professional, personal and community leadership skills.
The 27th Leadership Institute class, which began today, is composed of 40 emerging leaders from a variety of area businesses and organizations. In their first session today, the Leadership Institute participants became acquainted with each other and participated in strength focused training with Diana Gabriel, certified executive coach. Tomorrow, participants will learn about teamwork and confidence through a variety of outdoor activities at Minnesota State University, Mankato, including the high-ropes course, facilitated by Sam Steiger and other MSU Experiential Education staff.
Through presentations, hands-on experiences, assessment tools and tours, the Leadership Institute helps participants turn knowledge into action. The program’s experiential focus allows participants to learn and practice leadership skills, so they can effectively transfer those skills to their professional and personal lives. The program runs September–May, with 11 day-long sessions.
