Greater Mankato to headline Minnesota Real Estate Journal event in Golden Valley

Mankato, MINN (October 6, 2015) – Greater Mankato will be taking its success story on the road October 14 at a half day-long real estate summit in the Minneapolis area.

Hosted by the Minnesota Real Estate Journal (MREJ), the summit will be held from 8 am – noon (with breakfast at 7 am) at the Golden Valley Country Club and will feature area city officials along with area business people who will tell the region’s history and formula for growth in front of real estate professionals from around the state.

“It’s our time to show up and show off Minnesota’s often hidden economic gem,” said Jim Santori, new business development director for Greater Mankato Growth. “In the past, a lot of attention was focused on other MSAs in Minnesota, but we’re the new rising star. Developers and business leaders are hearing bits and pieces and want to know more about what’s going on in our marketplace.”

Topics will include developments not only in Mankato and North Mankato but also featured will be opportunities in the greater Regional Economic Development Alliance (REDA) area (Eagle Lake, Lake Crystal, Le Sueur, Madison Lake, Saint Peter and Blue Earth County). “There has been some tremendous growth in the area, along with investments in infrastructure that other businesses, investors and real estate professionals outside of the area have become very curious about. Our REDA participants’ commitment to partnerships and futuristic thinking plays a large part in that recipe for success” said Greater Mankato Growth, Inc. president & CEO Jonathan Zierdt.

The story will include the diversification of the area’s economy, the real estate and commercial boom, the awards and accolades the region has received as well as what’s in the pipeline for the future. Speakers and panelists include a mix of local private and public sectors leaders.

Expected attendance can range from 100 to 300 people, according to MREJ General Manager and Publisher Jeff Johnson. For the full agenda & registration visit: http://gmg.greatermankato.com/events and click on the event.
