This latest jobs data comes from CES Data released today by the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED), which measures the number of paid employees in a particular region, excluding self-employment and farm jobs. Due to the federal shut-down, September CES job numbers were delayed and released today along with the October data. In October, the Mankato-North Mankato Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) gained jobs in all 10 comprehensive categories tracked each month by Greater Mankato Growth. In September, it gained in 8 of the 10 categories and losses in the remaining two categories, were seasonably typical and more than made up for by the October gains.
