Greater Mankato Leadership Institute Participants to Spread Holiday Cheer
Mankato, Minn. (December 15, 2015) – For more than 30 years the Greater Mankato Leadership Institute has provided comprehensive leadership training with a personal, professional and community focus. As part of this nine-month program, one session is dedicated entirely to leadership through community service. This year’s community service day is this Wednesday, December 16, with the class learning from area experts in the morning and then engaging in a variety of service projects around the community from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m.
“Community service is an integral part of leadership,” said Trudie Gustafson, Executive Vice President of Greater Mankato Growth, Inc. “While Leadership Institute participants receive the majority of their training in the classroom, there are also experiential opportunities like community service that enable them to hone their leadership skills in real life situations.”
