Health Care Reform Implementation Seminar for Businesses
(July 17, 2013) MANKATO, MINN. - Greater Mankato Growth is bringing in top experts on health care reform to bring businesses up to speed on the Affordable Care Act on Friday, August 16 from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. at the Verizon Wireless Center. The full day seminar will provide attendees with the tools they need to make critical decisions to comply with the law, while managing costs and providing sound benefits to employees.
“While some parts of this law have been delayed, many are moving forward as scheduled, and employers and individuals need to fully understand the requirements of the law and their range of options,” said Patrick Baker, Director of Government & Institutional Affairs for Greater Mankato Growth.
Senator Tony Lourey, author of Minnesota’s Health Care Exchange Law; April Todd-Malmlov, Executive Director of MNsure, as well as high-level executives from Blue Cross and Blue Shield of MN and Eide Bailly will be among the experts presenting.
Businesses small and large will get complete information and advice on the law’s requirements as well as learn about the various purchasing options available to employers, the role of the new state health insurance exchange (MNsure), the ways that coverage premiums will be determined, as well as analytics tools to help businesses make the most fiscally prudent choices.
