Loyola Grad; BP Top Executive to Headline new Greater Mankato Growth event

Greater Mankato Growth is pleased to announce that John Jimenez, a top executive with British Petroleum (BP), Mankato area native and alumnus of Loyola Catholic School Mankato, will be the featured guest speaker at the inaugural Journeys of Leadership event on October 20. This new annual dinner event spotlights leading business executives on the national and international stage in candid conversations about their road to success and insights on leadership.

Jimenez is a global executive with more than 24 years’ experience working for BP, a Fortune 100 oil and gas company. He has held various leadership roles in international business environments ranging from start-up operations to corporate head office and has lived in the US, UK, Mexico, Poland, Bulgaria and India. Most recently, John completed a special assignment working with a joint venture partner (Reliance Industries Ltd - Fortune 500) to strengthen corporate governance and formalize their system of internal control. Prior to this assignment, Jimenez was Chief of Staff, VP HR Strategy & Planning heading one of BP’s executive offices.

In addition to sharing his journey of leadership, attendees will benefit from hearing his key insights from his extensive experience directing large scale transformations, systems implementations, business turnarounds, analytics, strategy and business development. Jimenez will also offer his thoughts on key issues he’s experienced at BP including challenges confronting his company, how they are facing them and energy’s future.
