Mankato Marathon Online Registration Closing Oct. 20
MANKATO, Minn.—Online registration for the eighth annual Mankato Marathon, presented by Mayo Clinic Health System, will close Oct. 20.
For any races that are not completely full, race registration will reopen from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Oct. 21 at the Scheels Sport & Health Expo in Myers Field House at Minnesota State University, Mankato.
The half marathon is currently 76 percent full, and full marathon registrations are up 17 percent over 2016.
“The Mankato Marathon is a welcoming event for all types of runners with a race for everyone,” said Anna Thill, president of Visit Mankato. “This is truly a life-changing event for many people. Some started as a volunteer and are now running the full marathon. Some children started in the KidsK and are now running alongside the adults in the longer runs. We are proud to provide such a great community event that encourages people to get active and creates a feeling of true accomplishment when they cross the finish line.”
