Manufacturers Invited to Participate in 2014 Tour of Manufacturing

Mankato, MINN (August 7, 2014) – The Economic Growth Collaborative of South Central Minnesota invites all manufacturing businesses across South Central Minnesota to participate in the 2014 Tour of Manufacturing on Thursday, October 23 from 12 – 6 pm. The event is similar to a “Parade of Homes” that is free to students, job seekers and the general public. Community members will be able to stop by throughout the day for a self-guided or guided tour of any of the participating manufacturers. Manufacturers must fill out a business tour agreement by Friday, August 15.

Manufacturing has evolved significantly over the years; area residents will have an opportunity to see how the industry looks today. The annual event is organized by the Economic Growth Collaborative of South Central Minnesota and sponsored by Eide Bailly, as part of Minnesota Manufacturers Week. The Tour of Manufacturing is the opportune event to showcase your manufacturing facility and educate the public on your business, current and future employment outlook and manufacturing trends.

Included with participation in the 2014 Tour of Manufacturing is a full page, full color profile in the special glossy magazine. This will be inserted into area newspapers and provided to area schools and universities, with a total distribution of 31,000.
