Amazing Race Registration is Open

YWCA Mankato

Fourth Annual Event Covers New Ground

MANKATO, MINN-- Registration is now open for the YWCA Amazing Race presented by LIV Aveda Salon & Spa. This is the fourth year of the event, but the first year for this race course. Event lead, Amy Jordan, has assembled a committee to help put local businesses on the map, while giving back.

“The great thing about the event is how many area businesses are able to participate and get some excellent foot traffic from racers,” said Jordan. “Our challenge sponsorships were designed to engage our community and help our racers get to know different services throughout town. Plus, it’s a great way to team build with co-workers, friends and family.”

The event will take place Monday, July 23, 2018, 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM. The cost to participate is $400 for each team of four, and space is limited to 25 teams. Early bird registration ends at midnight on June 29, 2018 and team registrations will increase $100. Participants must be 18 years of age or older. Teams can be all male, all female or any combination. Teams can register online at ywcamankato.org/amazing-race.

Teams will solve clues to find checkpoints and race by car or foot to participating Challenge Sponsors around Mankato. The first team to cross the finish line earns prizes and bragging rights. The event wraps up at the Profinium Finish Line celebration for participants, sponsors, committee members and volunteers.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the work of YWCA Mankato. For more information or to register visit mankatoywca.org or call (507) 345-4629.
