Big Changes Coming to Mankato's Radio Dial

Alpha Media Mankato

(Mankato, MN) – A big shake-up is coming to Mankato’s radio dial, as a longtime local favorite is changing stations and a former popular morning show team is being reunited.

After 19 years of waking up southern Minnesota on Z99, Greg Travis is moving to 105.5 The River. Travis says he’s excited about the opportunity to bring live and local to The River and reach a new family of listeners. Travis will be joined by News Director John Mickelson for “The Breakfast Club with Greg and John” weekday mornings from 6:00 am - 10:00 am starting Monday June 6th.

With Travis moving to 105.5 The River, the new Z99 morning show will bring together a pair of hosts who are both currently on-air on Z99 and previously had a successful morning show together for many years, Brad Steele and Sarah Fette.

"I am excited for the new opportunities coming to 105.5 The River with Greg taking over and I’m excited that listeners get to hear Sarah and I back together,” said Steele. “The past 4 years we have had a lot of people ask when we would host a show together again and I am proud to say on Monday!" You can listen to the new Z99 morning show with Brad and Sarah weekdays from 5:30 am - 10:00 am.

Z99 and 105.5 The River are part of Alpha Media-Mankato, which also includes 95.7 The Rock Station, Real Country 103.5 and SouthernMinnesotaNews.com. Alpha Media completed its purchase of the Mankato group from Digity earlier this year. Alpha Media is based in Portland, Oregon and owns or operates 250 radio stations in 51 markets nationwide.
