Community Event Scheduled to Explain the Benefits Of Home Care

Freedom Home Care

MANKATO – Minnesota River Area Agency on Aging, Good Samaritan Home Care, Freedom Home Care and the Senior Linkage Line are working together to educate the community about the benefits of home care this fall.

Live Well at Home: Understanding the Benefits of Home Care

10 to 11:30 am, Monday, September 25 – St. Peter Community Center, Room 219 – Cost is FREE. Participants do not need to pre-register.

Live Well at Home: Understanding the Benefits of Home Care is a program that helps people learn how to live at home successfully. The presentation is provided by Minnesota River Area Agency on Aging and helps older Minnesotans and veterans live well longer in their own homes. Live Well at Home also supports family caregivers so they get the help they need as they coordinate and provide care.

Following the presentation, participants can have home care questions answered during a panel discussion including home care, home health care and the Senior Linkage Line. They will find answers to questions about the difference between skilled nursing and companion care, costs associated with services and factors to consider when choosing a home care.
