Mankato— 7/15/21 Greater Mankato Young Life has named Ryan Rauenhorst the new Area Director of the nonprofit whose mission is to introduce adolescents to Jesus Christ and help them grow in their faith. Young Life is a Christian ministry that reaches out to middle school, high school, and college students in all 50 of the United States and in more than 100 countries around the world.
Rauenhorst is a past graduate of Minnesota State University of Mankato and holds his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical engineering. He is currently serving as a helicopter pilot for the United States Army in the Minnesota Army National Guard in St. Paul.
Rauenhorst succeeds Travis Bowen who served the organization the past 10 years and helped to bring provide impact and connections to hundreds of youth.
“All of us serving on the Youth Life Committee, as volunteer leaders and as staff are thrilled to have Ryan joining the team. There is no doubt he’s the right leader to help grow and guide this organization,” said Committee Chair Jenn Faust. Rauenhorst said, “My wife and I are beyond excited to be making Mankato home and I’m honored to have the opportunity to serve youth in such a positive way.”
Rauenhorst will being leading a team of 3 part time staff and over 30 dedicated volunteers that reach our Greater Mankato District 77 youth.
