Chankaska Creek Ranch and Winery

Chankaska Creek Ranch & Winery is celebrating 5 years in business.

KASOTA, MN(May 18, 2017) —Chankaska Creek Ranch and Winery is celebrating their fifth year in business on Friday May 19, 2017.  Chankaska began with a vision from its proprietor Kent Schwickert and was supported by Chankaska’s investors, that laid the roots for the first grape vine to be planted in 2008. In 2010, construction began on the 12,000 square foot tasting room and production space. In the short five years, Chankaska has flourished with many milestones including winning the Minnesota’s Governor’s Cup for their 2015 La Crescent last year.

“I can’t believe that we are celebrating our 5 year anniversary. It truly seems like yesterday. We are so grateful for everyone involved in our great adventure; staff, investors, growers, vendors and of course our faithful customers and our new friends we meet daily. We celebrate all of you!” says General Manager Jane Schwickert.

The goal of Chankaska’s founders was to not only produce the finest wines possible, but also create a unique experience for our patrons at the winery. Unique is exactly what Chankaska’s guests receive when they visit the winery. Guests are greeted with award winning wines, an array of distilled spirits made on the premises including whiskey, brandy and gin and a picturesque setting.

To celebrate there will be anniversary specials on wine and merchandise for 5 days to honor each year of being in business beginning on May 19. To kick of the celebration Chankaska is featuring a special discount onthe first three wine types that were award winners, the Kasota Rose, MN Marquette and Petite Colline. Chankaska welcomes the community to come out and celebrate our milestone and raise a toast to many years to come.
