It's Time to Talk: Forums on Race breaks 500 attendees

YWCA Mankato's third annual It's Time to Talk: Forums on Race broke more than 500 attendees on Tuesday, December 5, 2017, at the Verizon Grand Hall. The keynote address was giving by Carlotta Walls LaNier, the youngest member of the Little Rock Nine. This September marketed the 60th anniversary of the integration of Little Rock High School.

Following LaNier's address, facilitated table dialogues engaged and challenged participant’s ideas about race in Mankato. Leaders from all areas of the community brought diverse perspectives and experiences to discuss race and all its implications for those who hold a stake in the future of Greater Mankato.
