A new business has arrived at the Hubbard Building — it's called Mogwai Collaborative. Mogwai Collaborative is a new inspiring co-working space aimed to provide an innovative, thriving and collaborative environment for the modern entrepreneur in the Mankato region.
Mogwai Collaborative was built from the floor up (literally) by more than 17 local businesses and talent right here in Mankato. The space was designed with style, modernism, creativity and a unique cool factor that the local businesses here in Mankato collaborated on,
showcasing just the kind of imaginative projects our local businesses and talent are capable of doing.
From exposed copper piping, mosaic backsplash tiles, 3D floor tiles, sit/stand desks, private phone booths and floor to ceiling art murals - Mogwai Collaborative was designed to be a fresh, modern and inspiring place for anyone that needs a work space. Mogwai's memberships are all inclusive, with a month-to-month fee.
Co-working has been a huge trend in metropolitan areas. No longer only for the start-ups, new entrepreneur or freelancer; Fortune 500 companies like Verizon, IBM and Microsoft are now renting co-working spaces. Microsoft decided to give 30 percent of their employees (their sales departments) access to co-working locations. Research on co-working spaces has proven to improve employee performance, productivity, commitment and engagement. Corporations are forming partnerships with co-working spaces to stay on top of innovations, attract top talent, monitor competition and find acquisition targets.
Learn more and tour Mogwai Collaborative at a B2B networking event on July 2 at 4 pm. It is open to the public with free beverages and live local music provided.
