New Communications Manager Announced

Partners for Affordable Housing


MANKATO, MINN. –  August 6, 2019 – Partners for Affordable Housing (PAH), a local agency providing shelter, resources and hope for homeless families and individuals, is pleased to announce Deborah Monacelli as the new Communications Manager.

Monacelli will be developing and implementing an overall marketing strategy, directly engaging with volunteers, donors and area businesses to work towards PAH’s mission of assisting those facing homelessness in Mankato and surrounding areas. She will be responsible for the management of day-to-day marketing efforts to improve communication strategies for the nonprofit.

 “We are excited to welcome Deborah to our team, as she brings a wealth of experience to this important position,” said Jen Theneman, Executive Director. “Her commitment to our cause coupled with her creative vision will enable her to plan effectively for the future, expand awareness of our programs and introduce innovative approaches to marketing and communications.”

Monacelli has more than 20 years of strategic marketing experience, including serving as Marketing Director for Head of the Lakes United Way and Minnesota Discovery Center in northern Minnesota. She also served independently as a strategic marketing consultant providing branding, design, messaging, campaign development and executing marketing strategies that increase awareness and engagement for a wide range of nonprofits and businesses. In addition, she has been a professional wedding, portrait and corporate photographer for over 15 years.

Deeply-rooted in the community for over 30 years, Partners for Affordable Housing (PAH) is seasoned in serving the housing needs for vulnerable populations. The organization owns and operates a number of site housing facilities that provide a variety of housing options. In addition to the emergency shelters, Theresa House and Welcome Inn, and the soon to open shelter in Saint Peter, PAH provides transitional and permanent affordable housing options to the homeless and/or at-risk individuals and families in the Greater Mankato area.
