“Recruitment and retention of employees is critical to the success of the businesses in our region, and thus, to our region’s success as a whole. When an employee or family relocates to our community, it can be difficult to get connected initially. The faster a person feels at home here, the more likely that person is to stay. The Greater Mankato Community Navigator program will help newcomers get plugged into our community, personally and professionally, more quickly. The program will help them connect to the goods and services they need as well as helping them to make meaningful personal connections as they make their home in our community. We believe this will translate to people being comfortable here more quickly, and thus more likely to stay.”
Julia Ketcham Corbett of Blethen Berens

As a business owner, having an organization like the Community Navigators there to help find all the fantastic entrepreneurial advocates, Greater Mankato Growth resources, Small Business Development Center initiatives, and other resources and like-minded people is phenomenal."
