Only One Event Remaining for Songs on the Lawn
(June 23, 2016) MANKATO, MINN. - Greater Mankato Growth held the fourth of a series of five events for the 13th annual Songs on the Lawn earlier this week – the popular summer commencement featuring music, entertainment and local food. Songs on the Lawn is presented by Xcel Energy and takes place every Thursday in June from 11 am - 1 pm at Civic Center Plaza. Parking available around the city center free of charge.
Thursday’s musical entertainment was provided by Captain Gravitone & the String Theory Orchestra. Next week the Dollys will perform.
Songs on the Lawn is a community event for co-workers, families and friends to gather and enjoy sun, entertainment, activities and food. Attendees may purchase lunch and snacks sold by a variety of local vendors including Culver’s Frozen Custard, Dino’s Gourmet Pizzeria, Hy-Vee, Neighbor's Italian Bistro, Number 4 American Bar & Kitchen, Olives, Primrose Retirement Community, Pub 500, Tavern on the Avenue and The Loose Moose Saloon & Conference Center.
