Preschool through College Education Review Breakfast
Mankato, MINN (July 25, 2014) – Greater Mankato Growth will host a preschool through college education (P-20) review breakfast on Tuesday, July 29 from 7:30 – 9 am, at the Country Inn & Suites Hotel & Conference Center By Carlson.
Greater Mankato’s education leaders will present an update on P-20 initiatives their institutions are pursuing to ensure that we're preparing our children and adult learners to be successful in the workforce. In addition to updates on the progress being made in our P-20 system, they'll also outline opportunities for businesses to partner directly with them. Attendees will have time for Q&A to engage directly with our education leaders on the issues most important to them.
The panel of education leaders includes: Dr. Richard Davenport, President, Minnesota State University, Mankato; Dr. Annette Parker, President, South Central College; Kathy Sanger, Campus Director, Rasmussen College; Sheri Allen, Superintendent, Mankato Area Public Schools; and Dr. Dan Bruss, President, Bethany Lutheran College.
“One of Greater Mankato Growth’s core areas of concentration is the development, retention and attraction of talent, which we know is vital to securing the long-term success of our marketplace,” said Greater Mankato Growth, Inc. President & CEO, Jonathan Zierdt. “This forum is a one of a kind opportunity to bring together these key education leaders to engage in dialogue on how our community can continue to better utilize the strength of our already high quality talent pool.”
Greater Mankato Growth’s Public Affairs Forum Series brings together compelling speakers and business leaders to discuss timely and relevant political and policy issues over breakfast or lunch.
