Public Meetings to be Held on Sales Tax Extension
Mankato, MINN (October 4, 2016) – Public meetings will be held in Mankato and North Mankato this month to inform voters on the proposed extension of the local sales tax in each city. At this year’s general election on November 8th voters in both Mankato and North Mankato will decide on a referendum that would extend the existing half-percent sales tax in each city until 2038. All members of the public are invited to attend these informational meetings.

October 10, 5:00 – 6:00 pm
Mankato Intergovernmental Center, Council Chambers
North Mankato Public Meeting
October 17, 5:30 – 6:30 pm
Municipal Building, Council Chambers
These meetings will feature a presentation on the sales tax extension followed by Q&A. City officials and Growing a Greater Mankato campaign staff will be on hand to answer any questions from the public.
