Regional Economic Development Alliance Welcomes Nicollet County

(November 24, 2015) MANKATO, MINN. -  Greater Mankato Growth (GMG), along with the current partners of the Regional Economic Development Alliance (REDA) are excited to announce Nicollet County will be joining the partnership officially January 1, 2016. Nicollet County joins existing REDA members: the cities of Eagle Lake, Lake Crystal, Le Sueur, Madison Lake, Mankato, North Mankato, Saint Peter and Blue Earth County.

In 2009, the REDA began with a group of communities and counties joining together with GMG in business development and attraction efforts. By working together, the group is able to efficiently provide regional and individual city, county and Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) information to businesses interested in the marketplace. As a result of promoting the individual strengths of each community, along with the combined assets of the regional marketplace, all experience success.

“Nicollet County is excited to join our regional partners of the REDA in encouraging the growth and prosperity of the Greater Mankato marketplace which includes all of Nicollet County” said Nicollet County Administrator Ryan Krosch.

“The decision by Nicollet County and the Commissioners is strong testimony to the value and effectiveness of the alliance [REDA]” said Greater Mankato Growth president & CEO Jonathan Zierdt. “This further galvanizes the regions assets and interactions targeted at business development opportunities.”
