Save Money by Saving Energy Forum to be held July 28
(July 21, 2016) MANKATO, MINN. – Greater Mankato Growth is proud to host “Saving Money by Saving Energy” as part of our Greater Mankato Public Affairs Forum Series. The event will take place on July 28 from 7:30 – 9:30 a.m. at the Country Inn & Suites Hotel & Conference Center by Carlson (1900 Premier Drive). Registration is required by June 26 at Noon at greatermankao.com/public-affairs-forum-series. The cost to attend, including breakfast, is $20 for Greater Mankato Growth members and $30 for non-members.
Joe Sullivan, Manager of Strategic Relations for the Minnesota Center for Energy and Environment, will provide a keynote address outlining opportunities for businesses and homeowners to audit their current energy use, identify ways to save energy, and take advantage of cost-effective ways to leverage state- and utility- provided programs like utility rebates, grants and low-interest financing.
"Our cheapest energy is the energy we don't use," explains Sullivan. "Thanks to powerful utility rebates and low-interest financing, saving energy has never been easier or more rewarding. I look forward to sharing details about the range of programs Mankato businesses can use to cut energy waste and cash in on savings."
Following Joe’s presentation, there will be a panel discussion featuring representatives from our local utility providers who will discuss in further detail energy efficiency programs available in our area and answer your questions.
Breakfast and networking will take place from 7:30 – 8:00 a.m., with the business portion of the event beginning at 8:00 a.m.
