This Week’s Songs on the Lawn on June 15 will Feature Music from Sawyer’s Dream

(June 12, 2017) MANKATO, MINN. -  The annual Songs on the Lawn, an event of Greater Mankato Growth and presented by Xcel Energy, was packed with friends and family on Thursday, June 8. The lawn was filled with chairs and blankets to sit on as The Bad Companions performed rockabilly & swingin' blues.

Attendees may purchase lunch and snacks sold by a variety of local vendors including Culver’s Frozen Custard, Dino's Gourmet Pizza, Number 4 American Bar & Kitchen, Tavern on the Avenue, Hy-Vee, Olives, Primrose Retirement Community, Pub 500, The Loose Moose Saloon & Conference Center and Vista Prairie at Monarch Meadows.

Songs on the Lawn takes place every Thursday in June from 11 am to 1 pm at City Center Plaza. Admission is free and free parking is available at Cherry Street and City Center ramps (Second Street & Mankato Place ramps will be closed). Hickory Street at Riverfront and Second Street will be closed to through traffic Thursday in Jun from 8 am to 2 pm. To follow the event on social media use #KatoSongs.
