Southern Minnesota Skating Club Hosts Second Annual Ice Show

St. Peter, Minn., Jan. 26, 2025 – Southern Minnesota Skating Club is pleased to announce its second annual ice show! Entitled “SMSC Rising,” the show is filled with uplifting, shoot-for-the-stars numbers from 40 participants, figure skaters and hockey skaters, ranging in age from 4 to 71 years of age. The club is also thrilled to announce American Ice Theatre will once again be performing as guest skaters.

The event will be held on Sunday, February 16 at the Lund Arena on the Gustavus Adolphus College campus in St. Peter, Minn. There will be two performances, first at 1:30 p.m. with the final show at 4:30 p.m.

Tickets can be purchased at the door: $12 for general admission, $10 for youth, 4 to 12 years old. Ages 3 and under can enjoy the show for free.

Southern Minnesota Skating Club is in its second season and currently has 126 club members and 13 coaches. Programming is available in Mankato at The Pond on Madison on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and in St. Peter at Gustavus on Saturdays and Sundays. Skaters can take private lessons or sign-up for a variety of classes, which include Learn to Skate, Adult Learn to Skate, Power & Edge, Theatre/Choreo Development, and Artistic and Athletic Inspired Movement.
