Next Week’s Songs on the Lawn on June 8 will Feature Music from The Bad Companions

(June 2, 2016) MANKATO, MINN. -  Greater Mankato Growth hosted the first Songs on the Lawn of the season, presented by Xcel Energy, on Thursday, June 1. City Mouseoffered musical entertainment throughout the event and area businesses lined the sidewalks with their booths.Friends and families of all ages packed the City Center Plaza, lounging on the grass, engaging in activities with their children and dancing to the music.

Attendees may purchase lunch and snacks sold by a variety of local vendors including Culver’s Frozen Custard, Dino's Gourmet Pizza, Number 4 American Bar & Kitchen, Tavern on the Avenue, Hy-Vee, Olives, Primrose Retirement Community, Pub 500, The Loose Moose Saloon & Conference Center and Vista Prairie at Monarch Meadows.

Songs on the Lawn takes place every Thursday in June from 11 am to 1 pm at City Center Plaza.FREE parking is available at Cherry Street and City Center ramps (Second Street & Mankato Place ramps will be closed). Hickory street at Riverfront and Second Streets will be closed to through traffic Thursday in Jun from 8 am to 2 pm.
