Taylor Corporation to Share Innovations in Employee Screening: Webinar Hosted by Greater Mankato Growth

MANKATO, MINN. (January 7, 2021) – Greater Mankato Growth is collaborating with Taylor Corporation to host a free webinar on Innovations in Employee Screening with Taylor Corporation, Smell Testing on January 12, 2021 from 1 – 2 p.m.

Businesses have already changed their practices to keep customers and employees safe with enhanced cleaning, handwashing, sanitizers and more. Workplaces have also implemented symptom screening and temperature checks. Greater Mankato Growth has partnered with Taylor Corporation, Greater Mankato’s largest employer, to host an informational webinar that will inform participants of an innovative employee screening process Taylor Corporation has developed that can be used by businesses all over the world.

In partnering with scientific experts across multiple major universities, Taylor Corporation developed Scent Check™, an early detector test, used to identify loss of smell. They’ve created COVID central and localized response teams responsible for best practices in the health, safety, and productivity of each location. This product comes at a time when businesses and private organizations across the country need tools to support return-to-workplace symptom screening.

Over 140,000 tests have been produced so far, and now the company is able to scale to hundreds of thousands of tests weekly. The collaboration that went into developing Scent Check™ took into consideration Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), NIH (National Institutes of Health), and WHO (World Health Organization) guidelines and up-to-the-minute clinical research to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 by screening for one of the most prevalent symptoms.

Presenters from Taylor Corporation will include the following:

  •  John Tanke, Environmental, Safety, & Loss Control
  •   Jennifer Heimer, Communications
  •   Stephanie Drago, Marketing

“GMG looks forward to collaborating with Taylor Corporation in offering this webinar featuring an innovative option to improve employee symptom screening. We are proud to have such a distinguished company like Taylor Corporation supporting our region,” Jessica Beyer, President and CEO of Greater Mankato Growth, Inc.
