SUMMARY:City of Mankato Community Investment Plan Open House
DESCRIPTION:Community members are invited to attend a come-and-go open house to review the City of Mankato’s proposed 2026 Community Investment Plan (CIP) projects and share feedback with City staff. \nThe open house will be held from 6 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.\, Thursday\, Sept. 25\, in the Mankato Room on the first floor of the Intergovernmental Center\, 10 Civic Center Plaza\, Mankato. \nThe CIP outlines planned infrastructure improvements for parks and utilities. It serves as a multi-year roadmap to help the City identify\, prioritize\, budget and plan for major improvements while managing funding resources. \nLearn about proposed major projects planned for 2026 and 2027\, such as: \nStreet Reconstruction \n\nBelleview Avenue\, Jayro Court\, and Riverview Street\nPlum Street\nLong Street and Emerson Lane\nVeteran’s Bridge Re-decking\nGermania Park phase 6\nRita Road\n\nPark Improvements \n\nPickleball Courts\nShelter Improvements\n\nProject Updates \n\nAirport Control Tower\nWater Resource Recovery Facility\n\nParking \n\nCivic Center ramp tunnel improvements\nPublic Safety impound lot\n\nIn addition\, information on other capital projects\, such as IT\, Facilities and Transit will be discussed. \nCommunity feedback plays an important role in identifying and prioritizing City projects.
