“After dining at a restaurant, shopping at a boutique, attending an event or staying in a hotel, the customer service a visitor experiences is often what they remember most,” said Anna Thill, president of Visit Mankato. “It’s these positive experiences that keep them coming back and spreading the word about our vibrant community.”
In 1983 Congress passed a resolution designating the first week of May to be National Travel and Tourism week in America, thereby acknowledging and recognizing the impact of travel and hospitality on the U.S. economy and its citizens. Travel and tourism are a vital part of our city, state, national and world economy. It is one of America’s largest industries.
