Workforce Talent Summit 2.0 to be held March 28
Mankato, MINN (March 10, 2017) – Greater Mankato Growth will host the second business/community Workforce Talent Summit on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at South Central College from 2:00 – 4:30 pm. All businesses and community members are invited to participate.
The initial Talent Summit was held on January 17 and now has more than 150 volunteers actively involved in developing response plans and actions in each of the five key areas of focus.
Greater Mankato Growth, Inc. President and CEO, Jonathan Zierdt said “I am delighted to see so many leaders from our community step forward to take responsibility for guiding the action plan development for each of the five key areas. They will help turn the initial framework and discussion process from one of discovery to definitive plans and action that will enable us to achieve the necessary talent attraction and retention this region will need over the course of the next five years.” He went on to say, “The success of this endeavor is incumbent on significant engagement of a broad cross section of our community. I encourage people to join us on March 28 to not just provide feedback, but to also find the best focus area with which to align your skills and impact.”
The Workforce Talent Summit 2.0 is open to all business professionals and community members of Greater Mankato. Registration is strongly encouraged but not required to help better prepare for the event. Deadline to register is Friday, March 24, 2017.
