Community Invited to Help Shape the Future of Good Counsel Campus
Mankato, MN – The Southwest Minnesota Housing Partnership (SWMHP) invites community members to a public meeting to discuss the future of the Our Lady of Good Counsel campus. The meeting will take place on Tuesday, March 26, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Pioneer Bank, 1450 Adams St, Mankato.
SWMHP has entered into a purchase agreement with the School Sisters of Notre Dame Pacific Province for the Good Counsel property and is seeking community input as part of the planning process. The meeting will provide an opportunity for residents to learn about SWMHP’s mission and work, the vision for the property and to share feedback on potential redevelopment efforts.
The evening will begin with a brief presentation at 5:15 PM, followed by interactive breakout stations where attendees can engage in discussions on topics of interest related to the project.
“We value the voices of our community,” said Jen Theneman, Director of Real Estate and Community Development at SWMHP. “This is an opportunity for the public to play a meaningful role in re-visioning the future of this historic site.”
