JZ_2017_SmallIt’s been more than 4 ½ years since I was diagnosed with kidney and prostate cancer, and two years since I last penned an open letter to our business community about my health. My cancer journey has been generously documented and shared through our local media (KEYC, The Free Press and Radio Mankato), as well as our own CaringBridge site (https://www.caringbridge.org/visit/jonathanzierdt), my earlier letter/blog post and the Jonathan Zierdt Cancer Fund . (Warning: Transformation Ahead)JZ standing 2016While not likely new to any of you, I’ve been a multiple cancer survivor for more than two and a half years. During that time, I have been blessed to have phenomenal, integrated and patient centric health care from the Mankato Clinic, Mayo Clinic Health System and Mayo Clinic. From original diagnosis to the multitude of surgeries, both targeted at the cancer to complications, the physicians and medical staff across these three facilities and operations have demonstrated why the Livability in our community is so enticing.
