April 24, 2023 (Mankato, MN) – Greater Mankato Growth, Inc. (GMG) is pleased to announce the promotion of Andy Wilke to Executive Vice President at Greater Mankato Growth. In this expanded leadership role, Andy will be help drive the success of the organization and focus on membership and business development. This includes management of the GMG membership team and chamber of commerce related areas of work. Andy will continue to lead all advocacy efforts for the GMG, Inc. organization.

“Andy has a proven record of advocating for businesses in Mankato, and I am excited for him to take on an expanded leadership role at GMG helping drive the economic prosperity of our members and the region,” said Jessica Beyer, President and CEO of GMG.

In his new role as Executive Vice President, Andy will build upon the organization’s mission to support and promote the economic growth and vitality of members and the regional marketplace.

“Andy is a great asset to GMG, bringing tremendous experience and is a proven leader within our community,” said David Krause, chair of the Greater Mankato Growth, Inc. Board of Directors. “We are excited to have Andy take on this leadership role within GMG and provide further support to the Greater Mankato business community.”

Andy previously served on the Greater Mankato Growth, Inc. Board of Directors, was chair of the Visit Mankato Board of Governors, and co-chair of the Greater Mankato Growth Public Affairs Steering Committee. Andy joined GMG in 2021 as Business Development and Public Affairs Director. He previously worked in the private sector in retail real estate with Brookfield Properties (formerly General Growth Properties) for nearly 10 years in Minnesota, Iowa, and Georgia. Prior to Brookfield, Andy worked in the public sector for the Minnesota House of Representatives and City of Mankato. The Wilke family opened Toppers Pizza in Mankato in 2007 and sold the business in 2013. He is a graduate of Minnesota State University, Mankato and currently serves on the city of Mankato Planning Commission. Andy resides in Mankato with his wife and two children.
