David succeeds Troy R Volk, who will continue the role of CEO, while continuing his contributions and leadership that will help lead the drive and vision for Volk as we enter our 76th year of the Volk family business.

Before joining Volk Transfer, Tiede held multiple positions, such as Director of National Sales, East Region VP of Sales, Director of Local Sales, all at XPO Logistics over the 6 years he was there, in capacities where he was responsible for over $250M of revenue under management. Before XPO Logistics, David was with FedEx Freight for 17 years.

Volk Transfer is a third generation, family-owned transportation, logistics, and warehousing business, which has grown exponentially in recent years. Frank Volk started Volk Transfer in 1948 with only one tractor, and soon after that, built his first facility.
