MANKATO, MN – July 22-28 is Local Foods Week in Region Nine

During the week of July 22, visit one of the participating restaurants to enjoy delicious food and celebrate the partnerships between Region Nine’s farmers and restaurants. Support local businesses and farmers, and learn the stories behind your food!

For the last three years, RNDC’s Environmental and Sustainability Planner Sabri Fair has organized this event dedicated to highlighting the variety of products available from local farmers, much of which can be found at area farmer’s markets. Another goal of the event, is to connect area restaurants with local farmers to create lasting and beneficial partnerships.

This year we have 11 local restaurants partnering with 12 local farms to create delicious new dishes.
