Mankato, Minn. (April 23, 2024) – Greater Mankato Growth, Inc. (GMG) is excited to announce the appointment of Della Schmidt as president and chief executive officer of the organization.

Schmidt has more than three decades of experience leading chamber, economic development, workforce development, and regional partnership organizations and initiatives within southern Minnesota and southeastern Iowa, most recently serving as the President and CEO of the Greater Burlington Partnership the past five years. Prior to this, Schmidt led the Winona Area Chamber of Commerce over a 16-year period, and also served as president of the Carlton County Chamber and as President of the St. Peter Area Chamber.

Board of Directors. “Della brings extensive experience leading complex organizations, building community and business partnerships, and developing teams all focused on driving economic growth and opportunity which will benefit our region.”

Della is beginning the transition into her new role as President and CEO of GMG, Inc. and expects to join the new team in June.
