Transportation Alliance Breakfast

The Minnesota Transportation Alliance, one of the state’s foremost associations advocating on behalf of transportation issues is hosting a no-charge breakfast in Mankato at the Courtyard Marriott Hotel on September 8 from 7:30 – 9:00 am.

As you know, transportation is one of the hottest topics in the state right now and of huge importance to our region. In 2015-2016, the Minnesota Legislature and the Governor agreed on a bi-partisan basis that Minnesota’s system of highways, county roads and streets needs about $600 million pear year of new money. However, they disagreed over the sources of this additional funding and how or whether metro transit should be included in the transportation package. And we just recently learned that the Legislature will not be holding a special session this year, which means critical regional projects like Highway 14 will continue to lag without funding.

This breakfast will be an opportunity to get the latest information on transportation funding and legislation, upcoming projects, and what the future holds. You’ll also get a chance to learn more about the Transportation Alliance and its mission to advocate for a robust transportation system that we all rely on to move our goods and people.

You can RSVP for this no-charge breakfast to [email protected].
