Mankato, Minn. – Knutson Construction is proud to announce the promotion of long time Knutson project manager Collin Bennett to the position of Operations Manager for Knutson’s Mankato office. Bennett leads the office with ten years of experience at Knutson, a career that began when Bennett started at the company as an intern for Knutson’s Rochester office in 2015. After his graduation from Minnesota State University Mankato with a degree in construction management in 2018, Knutson tasked Bennett with opening the company’s Mankato office, and overseeing construction of the Eide Bailly Center, which houses Knutson’s office.
“Collin’s contributions have contributed mightily to the success of our business in Mankato,” said Tom Leimer, senior vice president and general manager for Knutson Construction’s Rochester and Mankato offices. “Collin is firmly rooted in the Mankato community and brings energy and a steady hand to our efforts in south central Minnesota.”
“When I began my internship with Knutson in Rochester in 2015, I had no idea I would be building not just a career, but also longstanding relationships with our partners in the region,” Bennett said. “I learned from the best in the business, and I look forward to adding to Knutson’s success as we help our partners grow and strengthen their own businesses and organizations.”
Bennett credits his mentors throughout the years for his success, and now he is giving back to the community that helped launch his career. Bennett is a board member for the Minnesota River Builders Association, an association of builders and partner businesses representing the interests of the industry and the communities of south-central Minnesota through education and networking.
Bennett is also a member of Greater Mankato Growth’s Young Professionals organization. He was honored by Finance & Commerce magazine as a Rising Young Professional in 2022.
