For a city so close—just 77 scenic miles from the Twin Cities—Mankato may be Minnesota’s best-kept bicycling secret! Visit Mankato and North Mankato to discover great cities where bicycling is big!

Join us and discover some of Minnesota’s most delightful bicycling. The Mankato River Ramble celebrates the best bike routes, baked goods, and live music to be found in Southern Minnesota. Beyond rivers and lakes, waterfalls, and award-winning pies; the city now sports one of the largest artworks in the state — a ten-story-tall silo mural by Guido van Helten that honors Native Americans who have lived here for untold generations.

Expect live bands and delicious refreshments at all four rest stops and the Land of Memories staging area. The Ramble is fully supported with sag wagons, ride marshals, and mechanics.

Bluff Rider’s Charge has access to 7+ miles of wooded singletrack to tailor-make an ability-based course for each category. Your beloved trails will be prepped and ready to shred, courtesy of the Mount Kato Trail Crew!

The MNMBS, Mount Kato, and the Mankato Interscholastic Cycling Team re-joined forces in 2019 to re-energize the iconic Bluff Rider’s Charge. All proceeds from the 2022 race will benefit More Families on Bikes, a Mankato-based organization that cultivates the family cycling culture as an independent activity provider.

The River Valley 100 is an opportunity for bicyclists of many levels – whether you want to conquer it or survive it – this is the ride for you. Whether you choose to ride gravel or pavement our routes showcase the scenic roads of the Minnesota river valley starting and ending in Mankato.  The ride is free but registration is required.

This event takes place in August, see website for more details.

Need some accountability? You are more likely to get your run in if your training buddies are counting on you to show up!!
