Membership Director

The Membership Director at Greater Mankato Growth plays a key role in fostering strong relationships with the local business community and driving membership growth. The responsibilities of this position span from member engagement and retention to volunteer committee coordination and data management. The Membership Director collaborates closely with Greater Mankato Growth leadership, staff, and volunteers in supporting and promoting the economic growth and vitality of our members and the regional marketplace.

The Membership Director will build and maintain strong connections with diverse stakeholders, including educational, business, and industry leaders, elected official, and the public. The ideal candidate for this position will posses strong interpersonal and organizational skills, flexibility, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

Visit Mankato Career Opportunities

Visit Mankato is seeking a part-time, temporary Event and Volunteer Coordinator to provide logistical support to Visit Mankato events. The primary responsibility of this position will be the coordination of different aspects of the Mankato Marathon, through assisting the Sport and Special Event Director, as needed, in order to make the event successful. The Event and Volunteer coordinator will be responsible for the recruitment and management of around 500 volunteers for the Mankato Marathon, which will take place on October 18 and 19, 2024, and recruitment for Senior Games, which return to Mankato in 2025.

This is a part-time, temporary position from April 1 to November 1, 2024, with the possibility of becoming a permanent full-time position. Hours will average around 25-30 hours a week. The candidate must be able to work 8-12 hour days over the Marathon weekend.
