Groundbreaking Celebration to Launch Good Counsel Meadows Homes in Partnership Community Land Trust

Mankato, MN — July 2, 2026

The Southwest Minnesota Housing Partnership is pleased to announce a groundbreaking celebration for Good Counsel Meadows, a new homeownership development on North 4th Street in Mankato. The project will bring eight new homes to the former pasture site connected to the Our Lady of Good Counsel campus and marks an important next step in the broader Good Counsel adaptive reuse and development.

Event Details:

Date: Tuesday, July 7, 2026

Time: 10:30 am

Location: Good Counsel Meadows development, North 4th Street, Mankato, MN

Good Counsel Meadows will include eight newly constructed three- and four-bedroom, two-bath homes designed to complement the surrounding neighborhood around Tourtellotte Park. The homes will be part of the Partnership Community Land Trust, creating long-term, stable homeownership opportunities for income qualified households.  The Good Counsel Meadows homes are one component of SWMHP’s multi-phase adaptive reuse and redevelopment of the Good Counsel campus

The groundbreaking ceremony will celebrate the start of construction, recognize the partners helping move the project forward, and provide an opportunity for neighbors, community members, and prospective buyers to learn more about Good Counsel Meadows and the Partnership Community Land Trust model. All are welcome to join this celebration.
