Mankato, MN (February 12, 2026) – The Mankato Figure Skating Club (MFSC) is pleased to announce its Skate Into Summer camp, which will take place on June 29–30 at All Seasons Arena in Mankato, featuring world-class guest coaches Surya Bonaly and Peter Biver.
Bonaly is a celebrated Olympian and multiple World medalist whose bold athleticism — including her signature one-foot backflip — made her one of the most iconic performers in figure skating history. Her skating legacy is especially resonant this year with the spotlight on figure skating at the 2026 Winter Olympics. Biver is an internationally respected coach and choreographer whose work has helped shape competitive careers at the highest levels.
This two-day camp offers on and off-ice training for skaters Pre-Preliminary through Gold, with a one-day participation option available. An additional Learn to Skate camp will be offered for skaters who are independently comfortable on the ice and eager to build foundational skills in a structured summer setting.
“Bringing coaches of this caliber to Greater Mankato is an exceptional opportunity for developing athletes in our region,” said Sarah Otto, MFSC Board Co-President and a long-term coach. “Their insights and experience bring inspiration and high-level training to skaters throughout the Greater Mankato area.”
Early bird registration rates are available through February 28, 2026. Full details and registration information are available on the MFSC website.
The Mankato Figure Skating Club extends its sincere appreciation to local businesses and community partners whose support makes events like this possible. MFSC values the ongoing engagement and partnerships with regional businesses, and looks forward to continuing these relationships to benefit youth and sport development in Greater Mankato.
