Team MRCI Shines: Named a Top Workplace in Minnesota
MANKATO, MN – MRCI has been named one of the Top 200 Workplaces in Minnesota by the Minnesota Star Tribune. Among mid-size organizations, MRCI earned an impressive No. 40 ranking, recognizing the strength of its team, workplace culture, and commitment to meaningful work.
A complete list of those selected is available at StarTribune.com and will also be published in the Minnesota Star Tribune Top Workplaces special section.
Produced by the same team that compiles the 35-year-old Star Tribune 100 report of the best-performing public companies in Minnesota, Top Workplaces recognizes organizations based on employee feedback measuring engagement, organizational health, and satisfaction.
The rankings are based entirely on survey responses collected by Energage, an independent organization specializing in employee engagement and retention. This year, more than 10,527 companies were invited to participate. To qualify, organizations must have more than 50 employees in Minnesota, and rankings are determined solely by employee input.
“The companies in the Minnesota Star Tribune Top 200 Workplaces deserve high praise for creating the very best work environments in the state of Minnesota,” said Star Tribune CEO and Publisher Steve Grove. “My congratulations to each of these exceptional companies.”
“Earning a Top Workplaces award is a badge of honor for companies, especially because it comes authentically from their employees,” said Eric Rubino, Energage CEO. “In today’s market, leaders must ensure employees have a voice and are heard. Top Workplaces do this, and it pays dividends.”
A Culture Built by Its People
At MRCI, this recognition reflects the people behind the work. Employees bring energy, compassion, and dedication to their roles each day, creating an environment where both team members and the individuals they serve can succeed.
The organization’s culture is grounded in inclusivity and purpose, strengthened through daily interactions in day and employment services and guided by a shared commitment to support one another. MRCI’s longstanding Team Promises continue to shape how employees show up: for each other and for the communities they serve.
Learning and Growing Together (One Example)
Over the past year, MRCI has continued to invest in its workforce through its Culture Champions initiative, including opportunities to build skills in emotional intelligence in partnership with Minnesota State University, Mankato. These efforts reflect an ongoing commitment to strengthening relationships, communication, and
workplace connection.
Leadership Perspective
“Being named a Top Workplace is a reflection of our people,” said Patrick “Casey” Westhoff, CEO of MRCI. “They bring dedication, care, and professionalism to their work every day. I’m proud of the environment they’ve created and the difference they make for the individuals and communities we serve.”
