City of Mankato Community Investment Plan Open House

Community members are invited to attend a come-and-go open house to review the City of Mankato’s proposed 2026 Community Investment Plan (CIP) projects and share feedback with City staff.

The open house will be held from 6 p.m. – 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 25, in the Mankato Room on the first floor of the Intergovernmental Center, 10 Civic Center Plaza, Mankato.

The CIP outlines planned infrastructure improvements for parks and utilities. It serves as a multi-year roadmap to help the City identify, prioritize, budget and plan for major improvements while managing funding resources.

Learn about proposed major projects planned for 2026 and 2027, such as:

Street Reconstruction

• Belleview Avenue, Jayro Court, and Riverview Street
• Plum Street
• Long Street and Emerson Lane
• Veteran’s Bridge Re-decking
• Germania Park phase 6
• Rita Road

Park Improvements

• Pickleball Courts
• Shelter Improvements

Project Updates

• Airport Control Tower
• Water Resource Recovery Facility

Parking

• Civic Center ramp tunnel improvements
• Public Safety impound lot

In addition, information on other capital projects, such as IT, Facilities and Transit will be discussed.
